Moving heavy industrial equipment requires more than transportation. It demands careful planning, specialized handling, and precise coordination at every stage.

For this project, Eurise K coordinated the loading and stowage of heavy industrial equipment and steel pipes from Antwerp, Belgium to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, onboard m/v BORKUM.

Shipment Details

The project included two cargo lots:

8 × Transfer Line Exchangers, including auxiliaries packed in 6 cases
Gross Weight: 290,331 kg
34 × Loose Carbon Steel Welded Pipes
Gross Weight: 171,938 kg
Port of Loading: Antwerp, Belgium
Port of Discharge: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Heavy Lift & Loading Operations

Due to the size and weight of the cargo, the loading operation required specialized lifting arrangements and close coordination between the terminal, stevedores, vessel crew and surveyors.

The Transfer Line Exchangers and cases were carefully lifted and positioned inside the vessel, while the steel pipes were handled using dedicated lifting equipment. The pipe loading operation was carried out with a maximum of two pipes lifted simultaneously.

Safe & Precise Cargo Handling

Every movement was carefully controlled to ensure the cargo was properly positioned and prepared for the sea voyage.

From pre-shipment inspection to loading and stowage onboard m/v BORKUM, the operation was closely monitored throughout the process.
